Photographic Restoration
Perhaps you have some old photos that you’d
love to dig out and frame. We can repair scratches,
creases and stains, remove and repair tears, blemishes
and red-eye, rebuild small missing areas, enlarge
photographs (subject to the quality of original)
and generally improve the overall quality of the
photograph.
Images can be taken from negatives, photographs
and digital files.
Prints can be produced up to 24” (610mm)
wide (A1)
Photo restoration prices start from £32.50,
including one print, for restoring and reproducing
up to an A4 / 8x10 print, and reflect the level
of restoration work required. Prints are supplied
mounted to fit a standard photograph frame. Canvases
are supplied stretched for framing or as finished
box canvases to hang straight up on the wall.
Level 1
Includes the repair of minor scratches, creases,
minor dust, and removal of red-eye and blemishes.
The colours of the photograph will also be adjusted
to optimise the quality of the photograph. The contrast
and sharpness of the photograph will be adjusted
to improve the quality of the overall image.
Level 2
Includes the repair of larger scratches, marks,
cracks, creases and stains, as well as the repair
of minor blemishes and stains, small tears and rebuilding
of small missing areas. The colours of the photograph
will also be adjusted to optimise the quality of
the photograph. The contrast and sharpness of the
photograph will be adjusted to improve the quality
of the overall image.
Level 3
Covers complex rebuilding of damaged areas,
addition of text / colour such as sepia, extensive
cracking and tearing. The colours of the photograph
will also be adjusted to optimise the quality of
the photograph. The contrast and sharpness of the
photograph will be adjusted to improve the quality
of the overall image. Extensive restoration also
includes the repair of seriously faded or damaged
photographs.
Paper & Inks
We use archival quality paper together with
Pigment-based
Epson inks to ensure the longevity of your photograph/s.
There is a choice between Epson
photo paper, matte, semi-gloss or glossy, Hahnemuhle
Photo Rag 308 gsm and Canvas.
